Fudge is 7 and a half months and such a pleasure to have. She sleeps well, is very loving and loves a good walk. She is very good company and doing wonders for my mental health.
We have been taking her to training classes and she's doing well, good recall, sit, trying to get her to settle fun with a springer! |

I'm back with an answer now DH is home 😁 it's click laminate, just a quick job done in our utility room that was originally part of the integral garage.

Ours is 9 months old now and still a handful. I’m not going to lie he stresses me out so much and I feel like he’s never going to get easier (although everyone I’ve spoke to says it will pass(. He’s really good with other dogs, kids etc but very very destructive. Even if he’s sat right next to me he’ll find something to chew on that he’s not supposed to. He is a big dog which I think makes it harder. He’s always been brilliant with toileting but the last few weeks has started peeing in the house. Im wondering if it’s because he’s getting to an age where he’s starting to mark his territory. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Our pup is now 7 months old and seems to be getting harder work, I think he’s now classed as a teenager! He’s a lot easier to handle when it’s just me, but as soon as my boyfriend sits down he jumps on him and starts biting him, I think it’s attention seeking! He also barks a lot (which is a common trait in a mini schnauzer). However my main stress (which gets me very stressed and embarrassed) is his leash reactivity, he goes mental when he sees a dog and lunges and growls and comes across aggressive but he’s not! If he wasn’t on a lead he would be fine, but his recall is also rubbish (likely our fault and need to work on it). Love him to bits though, but can’t wait until I can have a long lie in and sit with a coffee in the morning without him dropping a ball constantly at my feet and barking at me for attention!
Got a telephone consultation next week with a behaviourist to see if they can help with the reactivity Here he is spying on his dad in the shower the other day 🤣 Edited at 10:48 PM. |

I literally just said to my husband ‘gosh I feel so much better than this time last year’ basically we got a pup in Boxing Day and it was just like a newborn! Broken sleep, up early and constant care. Now he’s a fully grown handsome chap.

We have two 7 1/2 month old huskitas here. They’re lovely - soft as butter - but massive (already 32 and 40kg) so when they get the zoomies you know about it! They still love play fighting and do try to chew all the time, but they’ve not been too destructive (though they love ripping up underlay and memory foam). They’re quite excitable on walks and can look quite intimidating, but they’re actually some of the most gentle dogs we’ve had. In the picture, they’re with their friend (a Newfoundland).

Our cavachon is 6 months old and a sweetheart. Honestky I cannot imagine life without her. Toilet training is two steps forward, one step back 🤣. She brightens every day 🥰

A winter pup is tough with the short days and a muddy garden. The upside is we hit the summer months during puppy teenage years, so hoping longer walks and more garden time will help us through that.

He is gorgeous. We had a dog trainer/ behaviouralist out when we first brought Gus home for advice and basically she told us not to let him off the lead until 12 months as there recall is rubbish and to meet 100 dogs in the first year. A quick 3 second sniff is all they need. He is nearly 6 month old and has met lots of dogs and he is very sociable. My sisters dog is the opposite and very reactive to dogs, he was never socialised when he was a puppy so my mam , who has him for a while as my sister has just had a baby, is taking tips off Cesar Milan and it seems to be working! Good luck with it all 🤞 x

The good thing is we have met loads of other dogs the past couple of weeks as there are a lot of dog walkers round here. From tiny dogs to a huge wolfhound she has met them all . I'm sure our tally must be 50 already 😁
