I love Figment but queuing several hours for a plastic popcorn bucket is insane, I wouldn't wait more than 10-15 minutes. Can't help feeling Social Media has ruined the Disney park experience - how many of those in the queue wouldn't have known about the popcorn bucket if they hadn't seen it on Instagram/Twitter etc?

As much as I love all my popcorn buckets (I do have a lot & sippers too) I would never queue up that long…it’s insane! 🍿

I know there are genuine collectors out there, but many people just buy these to make big bucks on ebay. Disney should at least limit purchases to 1 or at the most 2, surely.
They do, it's 2 per item per guest. So you can still take your whole family, stand in the queue and walk out with a bunch of them. For the local APs, they'd easily clear a grand by doing that if they get the silly asking prices for them. Better than going to work that day.

For a plastic bucket made in China, ridiculous. It makes me so sad the way things have gone in wdw

Happens everywhere though. Same thing happened on the UK staycation cruises last summer. People queued for ages outside the shops on the Magic, and then cleared them out of things like Captain Mickey plushes, so people on the later cruises couldn’t buy one for their kids. It’s pure greed. The poor shop staff were stunned, they had never seen anything like it.

Yup. Inevitable when demand exceeds supply for anything. It's genuinely put me off buying merch. I thought I'd come back with a suitcase full between the 50th and Christmas but bought barely anything.

What do people even do with the popcorn buckets after they come home. They're so bulky, and niche. We got the BB8 Sipper when we were last in the US, but I used it a lot during the trip and now use it as a pencil pot.

Already on E Bay and being bid on for over $1000.

For a bucket. Dear God the World has gone mad.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Bob Chapek started to hold some these back and put them for sale on eBay if this is what they are going for, crazy.

My limit for queues is about an hour but that would be for a top attraction. I’d be happy to wait for up to 30 minutes for others as their is usually something to see in the queue anyway.

We’re here at the moment and saw the queue on Friday. There’s people walking around with about 8 to 12 of them round their necks and on buggies, so they’re defo being bought to sell on. Yesterday the line only looked to be about half an hour first thing. They’re quite big so we couldn’t fit one in our luggage even if we wanted one. Just crazy.

Universal have had problems with their free AP Pins and Magnets. People getting piles of spares to sell and then everyone else moaning they were pit by the 8th of a month.

So Universal have withdrawn them and everyone misses out.
