Sixt car hire amendments

Hope someone has experience I have a lux SUV booked with Sixt for September when I try to move the booking to March 2021 it looks like they are trying to charge me twice.

Has anyone else have any experience of moving a booking with them I would contact them but they are closed until Monday.

Things are a little quiet around here these days unfortunately and there aren't too many regulars around who use Sixt.

I can't really answer why their website gives the impression you have to pay for the new rental all over again. From what I've found on their website, it justs makes mention of a $28 amendment fee (unless the new rental is more expensive, in which case the amendment fee is waivered). I think you'll need to wait until the morning and get an answer directly from them.

Thanks Andy that’s what I thought but the new invoice is for the full amount I’ll call them in the morning.

Sixt were really good with us! We got most of our money refunded and the cancellation fee back as a voucher!
