October 2020 - Staying Positive?

Just had our return flight from MIA cancelled by BA for 7/11 😔😭

We have cancelled our 17 October trip today, as the balance was due and was not willing to take the chance on waiting months for a refund if we paid in full. Gold medal allowed us to take a credit note for the £900 deposit we had paid against a future holiday.
Incidentally, we booked a flydrive, flying with virgin in economy delights and could now get a BA flydrive returning in premium economy For less money than we were paying. I’m not chancing rebooking at the moment, but you never know, if the travel ban is lifted, (can hear you all laughing at that) We may be back on!

We had an email from VA yesterday that our flight from LHR to MCO on the 9th of October has been cancelled. Not sure on our return though which is the 24th October.
It also said on the email that they are updating their system this weekend, so if we login this weekend we won't see changes just yet.

So I've gone and done it!
Cancelled our villa much to my disappointment but can't see us going now.
Still waiting for our flights to be cancelled BA LGW - Tam 11.10.20 had an email the other day saying our return flight times have changed but really think it will all be cancelled.
Villa - excellent , owner agreed to move dates to next october
Disney tickets - ATD - never got insurance cover with them but must of preempted all this as when I booked ( last year) I took insurance cover so will get all monies back.
So it loos like decorating the stairs and hallway is going to be our October holiday!
On a positive note... we and our family are well and although I'm gutted to cancel I'm thankful we are all still here.

Wish they would cancel mine as it’s the same flight as yours but 3 days earlier and it’s still showing 🙄

Was this a flight only, It seems a bit early for Virgin to be cancelling flights.

I have a few property manager friends and they have had an email from Virgin cancelling all villa bookings through Oct 31 in the last week. So I have little doubt flight cancellations are coming
