Mobile Do you think this is a sign?

We are currently in the early stages of thinking about moving. We’ve spent the Christmas holidays driving around looking at new build developments. So far we have hit a brick wall - they are either way over priced, a 4 bed squeezed into a size of a 3 bed, basic fixtures and fittings, huge estates, completely overlooked and tiny gardens to name a few.
Well today when we drove into this particular development we were both pleasantly surprised, we really liked the feel of it. When we toured the showroom you can imagine our delight when the first room we looked in had this giant picture of a golden lab that looks exactly like our Boris, then throughout the home they had doggy and Labrador bits dotted around. A sign you think?

If it feels good and you can picture yourselves and Boris in there, go for it

Cynically I think it's excellent marketing add the Labrador is the most popular breed of family dog. However, that doesn't mean its not the right house for you. I think trust your instincts.

Our previous house was a new built, the show house (the exact style as the one we bought) had a Disney room, I think that sealed the deal for us as we had recently got back from our once in a lifetime (first) Disney holiday

We could definitely picture ourselves there, just got to work out whether we can afford to 😂

We think about it from time to time. It’s never been viable for us as the majority of the new builds are very small and have barely any outdoor space either. Not a chance of adding an extension at a later date up here. The only decent sized new builds are in the middle of nowhere and cost more than we’d make in another lifetime. As least our old Victorian built home has good room sizes is well located for local amenities and close to the local park and nature areas and not too far to the shops. We have schools within a ten minute walk too. Our only issue is all the rented properties in the neighbourhood now. It used to be all privately owned homes. Now literally anyone and everyone keeps moving in and out constantly. That’s happening everywhere I know however we still love our little home although I have no idea how large families used to live in these homes.

Oh absolutely it’s very clever. However they had birds in cages as the wallpaper that went up the stairs that freaked me out 😬

It’s definitely a challenge finding the right development. We live in a new build, well 15 years old now so used to the small bedrooms 😂.
I grew up in a large Edwardian that was a ‘proper’ sized house so I do miss that, but we want a house that we can move straight into without having to refurbish
