Park run Clermont Waterfront

Hi

I've recently taken up running and have completed couch to 5k and am in training for a 10k run in August (the week before we fly to Orlando). I am regularly running in the local park run and was looking for one near Disney. Has anyone ever done the park run in Clermont? I'm assuming it will be ridiculously hot in August but it's a nice early start compared to my local run.

There is definitely someone on here who has done this - maybe Big Belle? Have a look in our Run Disney Social Group, am sure it was in there.

Personally I can't think of anything worse than doing that in August! I've run a few WDW races in Jan and Feb and it's pretty hot and humid with a 05.30 start. The humidity is... Challenging. I can't imagine doing it in August. I think MrBobaFett did runs in August though so some people are tough enough!

Might be a bit late for people but here goes.

Did the park run and it was a great experience. Follow the road into Clermont, just as the road dips turn right and follow to road to the waterfront. Plenty of parking near the start if you turn right. There was free iced water at the finish and then most people go for breakfast at Cheesers. cheeserspalace/

Really worth doing

I haven't done it yet but I'm planning on doing it on 22nd Aug - earlier start at 7.30am so shouldn't be too bad!
