ARGH ADRs messing with my head!

This is just winding me up now!

I'd been waiting ages for Y&Y dining times to extend in October so that I could change my 4.45pm dinner to a more civilised time. Eventually they did and I snagged a 6.45pm. Perfect for then spending the evening at AK after a day at Blizzard Beach, I thought. Not so. :angry:

Now that there looks unlikely to be a show in the evening at AK in October and that the park is likely to shut at 7pm, there's not much point in us making a special trip there after a day at BB just to eat at Y&Y when I can eat similar stuff at the local food cafe on our AK day.

That's OK, I thought, Coral Reef didn't make the final ADR cut, so I can just promote it to the list and we'll pop over to Epcot for dinner.

Can I get a reservation? NO!

Nothing except 4.20 pm (too early if we've been at BB all day) and 8.55pm (my children will be hideous monsters if I try and make them wait that late for their dinner!).

So. What do I do?

1. Keep on checking to see if we can get an ADR at a later date; or

2. Pop to Springs for WPE and then move that day's TS credit to another day (not sure which one!).

Any suggestions? I've been fiddling around with my ADRs for the last couple of months and not had any trouble getting a space at the restaurant I want. Of course - now I can't get one at Coral Reef, I REALLY REALLY want to go!

P.S. Is there a reservations alert tool anywhere that will let me know if something in my timescale becomes available? If there isn't - someone should invent one!

There is such a tool! The Touring Plans reservation finder.

First sign up for a free account here:

Then set up ADR alerts here.

You can set it to look at one certain date or across a date range. Choose a time and once a reservation becomes available for a time within 2hrs of your chosen time it will email you. Then you have to log into Disney and get the reservation yourself (it won't book on your behalf). If it alerts you to a time that you don't want then you must go back and reset it to search again as once it's found something it stops searching.

I found it! I hadn't noticed it before even though I have a Touring Plans subscription! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Will still obsessively check MDE hourly during waking hours though...

Dont lose hope yet! I used touring plans to eventually get BOG at a time we wanted. Fingers crossed X
