day out of orlando
Been looking at hitting the coast one of the days when we go and looked at a couple of places. Family of 6 4 adults 2 kids 16 and 14 and wondered if people had visited Clearwater, Tampa or Daytona and which to try.

Clearwater/Tampa is better than Daytona. Clearwater and Tampa should be treated as its own thing because of how close they are and what you can do. You can go to the museum's in Tampa and then go to the beach in Clearwater. The best beaches in Clearwater are the state parks. Only locals like me go to them, I recommend Honeymoon Island or Fort De Soto.
And maybe go see a baseball game in St.Pete if the Rays are playing. St.Pete/Tampa/Clearwater are considered one metro area and are much nicer than Daytona. |
