Clearwater beach hotels

We have planned a one night stay in Clearwater. We have a hotel booked but am thinking of moving to one closer to the beach. Any recommendations? I know it will be more expensive but looking for something on the cheaper side!

Th Hilton is right on the beach, not sure it would class as being on the cheaper side though! www3.hilton/en/hotels/flo...BHF/index.html

we stayed at the beachview hotel in june last year
excellent location across from the beach and fairly central, decent price would go again

We stayed in the Quality Inn at Clearwater beach. It was on the beach, although at the far end it was within good walking distance of all the central places. We got a great room for 4 of us with a view over the beach. There's an IHOP adjacent to the hotel for breakfasts. And the price was really good.
