disabled parking with the parks

Just thinking ahead to when we go next year as this will be the first time one of our party is going with a medical condition. We will be asking for a DAS card within the park but are wondering if we can access the disabled parking area - in theory the person would qualify for a blue badge here in the UK but they dont drive and dont have one. Any comments appreciated as this is all new to us (we have done Disney many times, just not with this family member and we want to make life as easy as possible for them to enjoy :-)

You dont need to be able to drive to get a blue badge in UK, i think you would need the orlando equivalent to access the disabled parking and to get that you would need a blue badge. There is loads of useful info in the stickies at the top of this form, both on DAS and parking 😀

Yep I don't drive and I have a blue badge so that people who drive me can park in a place that's accessible for me (its person specific and not car). If you have one then yes you can apply for the temp permit in the US. You can also ask at the parking but its hit and miss whether someone would allow you too unfortunately.
