Mobility Cars UK
Not sure if anyone can help. but just looking for advice. Df ordered up a car on 22 May, told at that point 2 week deliver, then postponed until Fri 9th June. Tried to phone Arnold clark garage yesterday but their lines were down!
Rep off today so I said I will either be picking the car up tomorrow or she will be cancelling the car. How long is acceptable for a Mobility car to be delivered, esp when he said it was arriving in the UK on the 24th May. Any help or advice would be great. x |

Quite normal for there to be delays. They forgot to order my last one!

Are you referring to the Motability scheme and if so, is this the first car you've ordered? If so, I'd seek Motability's advice and help. If it's a re-order, at least you've got the existing car to drive.
I'm awaiting my new Motability car that I ordered on 2 April with my changeover date on 26 June. So far, the dealer has been very quiet but my present car is fine. If the dealer doesn't deliver within a month of the promised date, I'll be contacting them and Motability to discuss the problem. I've always found Motability very helpful. |

Unfortunately there is very often long delays with motability vehicles. They have an online chat function on the Motability website that may able to help with other available options if you are getting nowhere with Arnold Clark.

We recently got our first motability car and it took over a month to arrive despite being told it'll be 2 weeks.
Seems a common occurrence, the biggest issue was about 2,000 cars arriving into the dock at the same time and it took Ford forever to work through them all. |

We ordered a very specific model / trim for our first one, at a time when one of the European Ford factories was on strike - it took over 12 weeks for the car to be delivered! Fortunately we still had our own car during that time.

We ordered our Ford C-Max Grand on 17 August 2017 and picked up on 17 December 2017. The garage told us when we ordered it that it could be Jan 2018. We were kept up to date at all times and knew when we ordered that it would take a number of weeks. Our motobility rep was very good.
