OKW prebooking

I am looking at booking for next Aug and the site says they will contact me if they have rooms at 330 days

are people getting these rooms or not ? ? ?

I think OKW takes longer to book because of the DVC factor.

Because it is a DVC property, they have to allow DVC members to decide if they want to use the rooms before they open it up to cash guests

I have never seen anyone not get room at the 330 day mark

I have provisionally booked OKW for next August. I booked over the phone and asked how likely it was that we would be able to stay there - guy on the phone was very positive, said he was 95% sure we would be fine. On the off chance that we can't stay there, we can stay elsewhere and keep the offer we booked under.

We booked for OKW next August and waiting confirmation that it has been granted. I haven't heard of anyone not getting it but there is always a chance.

We also reserved our first stay at OKW in April (for next October) - we got a 'confirmation of reservation' invoice etc and have paid the deposit but won't get the final confirmation till late in the year, I was wary but I asked advice on here and elsewhere, and was reassured by everyone that we'll have our reservation confirmed.

I asked and the chap I spoke to said they talk you through the other options and switch you to one of those. If you booked under an offer, you keep those benefits.

OKW and SSR are the two that DVC members are able to get at the last minute. So you will have no problem at 330 days

There are two completely separate inventories for dvc rooms and cash rooms. Disney know exactly how many cash rooms will be available but because the booking system for members doesn't open until 11 months out they don't open cash reservations beforehand.

This hasn't always been the case and there were many disgruntled dvc owners who objected to the fact that cash bookers had access to bookings at a dvc resort before members did.

When Disney take your deposit for a cash reservation prior to the 11 month booking window they know that the room will be available.
