Is everything stupidly busy Easter Weekend?

Trying to work out what to do Easter weekend when we're there next month.

Will 'local' attractions like pontoon boats and blue springs on St John's river be really busy?

Or would something like a mall visit be a better idea in terms of crowds?

Everything will be busy, blue springs etc won't be as bad as the tourist area, it will take you ages to get there though, traffic is manic. Malls aren't open on Easter Sunday.

We were there Easter weekend last year.

Did mini golf (sunny morning) and a bit of shopping (wet afternoon) on the Saturday, and then Animal Kingdom on Easter Sun til mid afternoon and back to villa pool then out to eat.

Yes it was busy, the I4 was a complete car park, AK got shoulder to shoulder after 2/3pm, restaurants on the 192 were lining up people outside from about 7pm, but it was a blast - the temperature on Easter Sunday was just perfect for a busy day - high 20s and low humidity.

(Publix doesn't open Easter day either)

Planning to go out to KSC on Easter Sunday to get away from the parks. Do you think this is a good option in terms of traffic and dining out that way for evening meal?

It's going to be better than round the parks.

We're onsite at Universal (RPR) over the Easter weekend, and are planning an early start in one of the Universal parks, followed by Minion brunch ADR at 11.30 in the hotel restaurant.

Then the hotel pool for the afternoon, and an early dinner at Citywalk (QS or Landry's card?), thus avoiding using the car? Does this sound like the best plan please?

Starman we have exactly the same plan for the same reasons - see you there!
Restaurants can get super busy or else run out of component parts of a meal so go early or go off track.
We've also done DC on Easter weekend before now since with limited admission numbers it's not quite so busy.
The weather was good at Easter though.

Weather looks fantastic at the moment. Planning on breakfast somewhere in Titusville and possibly evening meal in Cocoa Beach area after we've finished with KSC.

NLB - universal sounds like a great idea. Especially with a Landry card to cut down on waits at Bubba Gump. You can also prebook some of the restaurants (esp the hotel ones).

For those saying the weather is good at Easter - yep - generally...

Last Easter Saturday we had the biggest hailstorm in over a decade - lasted most of the afternoon - thunder/lightening/wind/torrential rain interspersed with hail for over 2 hours. Was glad we were having a "down" day. The following Saturday it started out wet - so the parks were quieter - a lot quieter... (a really good one to look out for - a wet start to the day) and we had one Tue afternoon where it rained - not just the "showers" people talk about in the summer - cold rain, prolonged for 2-3 hours.

Apart from that the weather was glorious. Warm, low humidity, very little wind, blue skies.

I am envious of you all going out at Easter - this time last year we were there...

We are also at RPR over Easter weekend. Planning on early start at the park and character dinner at Hard Rock Kitchen.
