Watching Hallowishes elsewhere

Hi all, we will be there in October, but really cant justify the extra £200 for Mnsshp please can you advise me where else we could watch the fireworks, we are staying at POFq, so only have QS, so ideally would love to pop to a resort, grab a drink and see the fireworks, is this a bit cheeky? And what is best resort to do this? Thanks

Go to Fort Wilderness Campground, park up, get the bus to Pioneer Hall, where Trail's End and the Hoop-de-Doo show are - there's a small bar there to pick up drinks, then wander down to the beach where there are lots of loungers or even just the sand to sit on. Fireworks will be easily visible, and they pipe in the soundtrack. The only thing is, if there are projections on the castle you won't see them, also it may be quite crowded on the beach, and if it rains there isn't a lot of cover! But it's still a lovely thing to do, we've done it several times after eating (usually on the free DDP!) at Trail's End. You usually get the Electrical Water Pageant going past at some point, too.

I think you can also see them from the beach at the Polynesian Resort, and the Grand Floridian, although we've never done this.

For ease I would bus to MK then walk to Contemporary have food at Contempo then there are a number of places to watch the fireworks including the bridge link between Contemporary and BLT. They pipe in the music.

On our October trip 2016 on our last day we went to the Polynesian grabbed some sun deck chairs N hour or so before the fireworks , had some dole whips and we watched the water pagent and wishes. They piped the music for wishes, unsure if they would do that for Halloween. It was very magical and relaxing and we beat all the crowds and traffic. We did have a meal reservations as well .

I'm a big fan of the Disney Tourist Blog.

On it, they have a map about where is good to watch the fireworks off-site, although not specifically HalloWishes. They also have a list of good places to watch the fireworks from outside the parks.

They recommend the Ticket and Transportation Centre, so you could always watch from there and get a boat back to your hotel or something?

I've done a bit of research on watching the fireworks from outside the parks as I want to watch them on our arrival day without starting our 14 day tickets (as then we wouldn't be able to go on the last day!).

Never been to any, but from my research...
The Polynesian (watch from the beach)
Grand Floridian (watch from by the boathouse)
Wilderness Lodge (as mentioned by Silvercat above)
Contemporary (as mentioned by vhm672 above)

f you don't mind paying for a meal out of pocket (or perhaps even could go for drinks at the bar and use the terraces - though not sure on rules here), Narcoosse's at Grand Floridian and California Grill at Contemporary have views with music.

Have a great time wherever you watch from
