Tipping

Hi

Can anyone tell me what is the tipping culture in DLP.

Are we required to tip housekeeping and wait staff?
I've not given it much thought until now, we go end of September and DD has asked to make the mouskeeping envelopes like we do for WDW.

Unlike the USA, There's no requirement to tip in France.
By law the prices on menus have to include the full service charge so tips are not expected.

edit: adding extra info
In France the restaurant bill is all-inclusive – it is required by law to include a 15% service compris (service charge) on your bill. The charge is included in the price stated on the menu – it’s not an extra cost at the end of the meal.
There's nothing to stop you tipping if you want to or have received outstanding service, just bear in mind in restaurants at least you have already paid a 15% tip.

I was a waitress in Paris many years ago. The waiting staff DO NOT get the service charge. This is used to make up their wages. Usually minimum wage. Not your problem I know, but I would always tip 10% for good service, same as at home. I usually leave a couple of euro for housekeeping, that'd be all.
