Our turn to report on Lows and Highs

Well, that week flew by!
Had a great holiday. I had to get my head around my kids not wanting to run and see characters. (When we went to Orlando, I had expected them to be all about the rides then, but they went character hunting. So this time I assumed it would be the same, but nope! They still wanted a few characters but it wasn't a priority. Rides were a priority!)
We also had Premium dining.

So onto lows, getting betters and highs
LOWS
Café Hyperion-Already posted about that. Not great.
Captain Jacks CM. At the 60 day point we booked our restaurants. We had done a lot of research into where we want to eat as DS has autism and needs to know.
So, we turn up for our reservation and the CM said we didn't have a table booked. We hadn't had a problem with our other reservations, so we were really confused. We tried to get her to look all sorts of ways for our reservation, but she was down right rude. She told us to try again in two hours (9pm!)I said we had a child with autism but it didn't matter.
So I am getting upset, DS is getting worked up...
We walked out. Ended up in Silver Spur.
Later on, DH went to the Compass Club and the Concierge to recheck the rest of our reservations for the week... And they could see all our reservations, including Captain Jacks!
Concierge was beyond not impressed and rang Captain Jacks and took them to task.

GETTING BETTER
Cleanliness of the parks. Our 7th visit. 4 year gap.
CMs EVERYWHERE sweeping and cleaning.
Smoking lessening and CMs telling guests to put it out and find a smoking area.

HIGHS
Just being there! It was wonderful.

Compass Club (WOW WOW WOW! All of the CMs in there are just amazing)

Photo pass -60 photos! Bit miffed we are home today as its Photo pass day. Oh well! But it works out as 84p a photo. I can print off what I want and I have a digital frame so I can see them all the time

It was just a great break!

Didn't see Illuminations as the evenings we planned to see it, it was rained off.
Merchandise-I think as we are older and have a lot of Disney stuff, we struggled to find something we really wanted. So that gets a "Hmmmm!"

We left thank-you for the CMs I mentioned above at guest services.

So, now we need to start saving. I think this time it will be the big save for America. We really spoilt ourselves staying NPB CC for a week. When really that is the same as a week at OKW (obviously minus flights! That doubles it! )

Now off to sort through 2000 photos!

Glad you had such a great time - apart from the rain! I know what you mean about the merchandise - we struggled to find stuff too. It's the first time in 6 or7 trips that DD(14) hasn't spent up!
