Where would you say rivals Anna Maria Island on the Gulf Coast

It seems AMI is no longer a secret little haven as every other post on here is about it... so I'm glad you asked the question. I'm sure there will be plenty of other stunning places along the Gulf coast. My friend has raved about North Captiva for years and I'm finally visiting in November...it looks stunning and I can't wait! I'm writing a trip report so if you decide to read it you might find somewhere else you like the look/sound of.

Anna Maria is wonderful and there are so many good things to do!

Dine at The Sandbar and watch the sunset
Fish on the Rod N' Reel Pier ( a couple of dollars for rod hire and bait) - we did it a few times but at sunrise was amazing
Sunset at Bean Point
Dine at the City Pier
Two Scoops for Ice cream
Hire bikes/kayaks from Beach Bums on Pine Avenue
Donut shop!

The list is endless you will love it

Siesta Key is beautiful and Naples if you get a villa by the beach is very hard to beat.
