We are doing 2 wks in Naples jul/aug this year. Are there any shopping outlets similar to the ones in Orlando? Looking for trainers/tops/jeans etc Thanks

Miramar is fantastic. Normally cheaper than similar outlets in Orlando. Last year I was picking up Abercrombie T Shirts for £5 each.
Can have a great day out, combine with a trip to Corkscrew Sanctuary and have an evening meal in Gulf Coast Town Centre at Miromar Lakes. Some good restaurants there, the BBQ one is great.

This sounds good, we're going to Naples for the first time this year & we plan to visit Miramar outlets- £5 for an Abercrombie t-shirt sounds good!

You will fall in love with Naples probably. I've been going 20 years. Make sure you do Lowdermilk Park beach.
Where are you staying?

We got our best deals at Sanibel and Miromar. Make sure you go to guest services and pick up the discount booklet before you buy anything

Thanks everyone - really looking forward to going - will be wierd not doing Disney but we’ve been 4 times and can’t justify the ticket cost now - hoping the kids will enjoy it - they love swimming in sea, charging around etc (age 14&11)

We did Florida without parks with 2 children age 13 and 16 and we had an amazing time. Stayed in Miami and Cape Coral and visited loads of amazing beaches, shopping malls, restaurants etc. Just be careful on the beach with the sun, even on a cloudy cooler day DS managed to get sunburnt really quickly when smothered in sun cream.
Barefoot beach and Lovers Key were two of our favourite beaches.
