American girl dolls

Does anyone know if American girl doll clothes fit the our generation dolls we have here in the UK? I’ve looked online and I’m getting different info on every website I read!

They are both classed as 18 inch dolls, but so are the designer friends ones in argos and the designer friends and our generation dolls clothes don't always fit... So I'm informed by my daughter lol.
Look on Pinterest I'm sure there are size guides and measurements on there of the dolls

My daughter has My Generation and American Girl dolls and regularly swaps their clothes around. Never had an issue with them not fitting.

Great thanks for info! My dd 6 is saving her money to buy some outfits for her 2 'our generation dolls', she keeps watching videos of the American girl dolls on you tube and has outfits picked out that she wants! Keep trying to tell her they may have changed by the summer but it's falling on deaf ears! Oh well I'm sure she'll find plenty she likes when she gets there, let's just hope she has plenty of spending money saved by then I think she might need it!

The store is amazing to walk around. If she wants her money to go further, they have Our Generation stuff in Target. Some is the same as the UK but not all.

DD also obsessively saving for next year, she wants a doll, but wea all know its never just the doll!

Yes, there's also the 'My Life' dolls in Walmart that are exactly the same. The doll I bought in there was $23 instead of $115! But it's a lovely experience for them going round the AG shop.

The AG dolls do have nicer hair and faces. Whether it is worth the extra might depend on the age of the child.
