Hi
Yes it is definitely worth a visit. We are going in April and I have set aside a day to visit St Augustine. It’s one of the oldest towns in the USA. Very picturesque and there is a fantastic seafood restaurant on the beach called panama hatties. We had calamari and alligator. The beaches are very quiet, white sand and blue seas. I would recommended. There is a little town nearby with some quaint shops. Very Floridian

We had already decided to go to St Augustine in April after reading a Dibb members trip report... wish I could remember who it was as I wanted to go back and read the rest of the report as it was really good. They did an evening ghost hunting tour that sounded fab.

We certainly intend visiting after seeing it on Dale's programme. Once place I won't be going though was that weird spiritualist place.

We love st Augustine and have been many times, what Dale didn't mention was the 2 shopping outlets just outside st Augustine, they are on either side of the road so visit one on the way into st Augustine and do they other one on they way back.

Sorry to hijack the thread but would you say a day trip would be enough or staying overnight? How far is it to drive from Orlando?
Thanks

We are thinking of visiting just for the day. Hoping it’s doable if we leave Orlando around 7am and have a full day there. Never been before. Any tips on where to head/ park once there ?

We’re spending two nights there in April on our way down to Orlando from South Carolina. Planning on doing the Ghost Tour but not sure what else at the moment.

We did the hoponhopoff tour which was great particularly the St Augustine distillery tour and winery which are both free and the chocolate factory. Lots of info and samples 👏
