Over the past 4 years I’ve taken 4 DCL cruises, 3 Princess, 3 Royal Caribbean and 5 Celebrity cruises, and although I do like Disney, I personally would not pay the current prices, unless I had young children along who were really into the Disney characters. There isn’t one of them I would not sail with again.

I’ve sailed out of Port Canaveral, Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) and Port of Miami and found the Port Canaveral experience to be the easiest and best, although this is a minor factor. Celebrity is my personal preference, but with teens, of the lines I’ve sailed, my vote would be for RCL.

I like a balcony but for a short cruise, I’m not sure I would bother. I’d also look at 2 connecting cabins or even an ocean view cabin with an interior opposite if the budget will run to it. Do any of you suffer from motion sickness? I do and so always try for mid ship, or maybe mid aft and not too high a deck.

Enjoy your research 🙂.

You're probably one of the best people for a rounded view of a few different cruise lines, thank you.

Ha ha, and I wonder if you remember that 4 years ago I was asking/getting advice from these boards at the start of my ‘cruising period.’ You could say I took to it Joa 😉
