People carrier or SUV?

We are 5 adults travelling next year, previously we had a full-size car and although it was fine for day-to-day travelling, the airport runs were a bit of a squeeze, so next year we want something bigger.
We've currently got a 7-seater people carrier booked, but I've just looked and a 7-seater SUV is around the same price.
Is there any benefit hiring one over the other?

This one gets asked quite a lot. It’s a common dilemma.

The Minivans do what they say on the tin. However I loathe them. With Babies and Toddlers the sliding doors make loading them so easy. Not an exciting drive though in my view.

What I will say though the Pacifica is nice.
We had one when Daughter and Family came with us but I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

I would go for the 7 seater SUV all day long.

Im with you Tom. I feel as if I am never 'cool' enough in a mini van, but the are so so convenient when you have toddlers and strollers to load/ unload.
The Pacifica I agree is a good driving experience

Just got back had a minivan and I didn’t like the drive personally it was a Pacifica as well, but was super practical and decent boot, which is good with a double pushchair and airport runs. For reference We have 7yo, 3yo and 6mo, and for airport run we had 2 large, 2 medium, 2 carry on, 5 back packs etc and double stroller all comfortably in the car. But I couldn’t wait to give it back….

Takes your pick but we are back next year and I’m looking at paying for for transfers and then hiring from the car care place to avoid a minivan, the car was always something I looked forward to driving out there but depends on your reason for hiring. HTH
