Taking snacks into parks

What's the deal now with taking snacks into the disney and universal park?

I think I'm right in thinking that you can take empty plastic water bottles in and fill them up but not sure about food as the only info i have found says you can't but then i've spoken to others who say you can?

I know you can obviously but stuff in the parks but we are on a really limited budget and so are only planning to have two proper meals a day plus snacks.

Thanks

You can take a small cool bag. We took some sandwiches and snacks for my sons and plenty of water, drinks which we froze first.

Amazing thank you. It's mainly the kids that will need the food - my youngest gets grumpy without food lol! We can survive much longer but it's good that we can take some stuff in with us.

We did a Walmart run specifically to stock up on snacks! The little boxes of goldfish and animal crackers always went down a treat with my kids!
