We were there last August on a tuesday when they had one of these events. We had a 8am BOG adr too, as I planned to get onto 7DMT early. It was absolutely fine and we still got to do the ride before the main load of guests arrived from the park entrance.

See above. DIBBers have said that this event makes little difference. They still managed to get on SDMT without any problems.

And as I pointed out earlier, there will be more people leaving BOG at the same time as yourself than are at this event. Not to mention the people streaming out of CP and CRT and wherever else you can get breakfast.

Disney allows you to book at 180 days but they don't force you to. And you are booking to eat breakfast at the restaurant, not to get on a popular ride early. Your ADR still gets you into the restaurant at 8am, whether or not this event exists.
