We went a few times at Christmas / New Year (we were staying at the Boardwalk so it was our "local", as it were!)
Fortunately we did not have the same experience as Elise. We would not have returned if so. It's true that the cocktail menu is limited but I liked it because it was different to the generic WDW cocktail menu which is replicated at most - not all - bars across WDW. Our favourites are Jock Lindsay's and Trader Sam's. The Wave is also good (though it falls into the "generic cocktail menu" category). The other standout is BlueZoo at the Dolphin. Until Jock Lindsay and Trader Sam's opened, that was my favourite.
