Water park weekend crowd levels Oct?

Hi folks, as the title says, just wondering what crowd levels are like at Disney's water parks at the weekend in October.

I'm conscious that weekends are normally times to steer clear of them, but just wondering does this tend to tail of a bit in October?

As for the new Volcano Bay, I expect the novelty factor will keep it busy for much longer and it may even draw off some of Disney's clientele.

Edit: Ps, in other words, would you plan a water park in at the weekend? -

I can't answer the October question specifically but would avoid weeekends any warm or hot month as they attract more visitors and lots of locals. There is no science in my answer so it may be rubbish, but I find Mondays good low crowd water park days, especially Monday mornings.

we go the week before 1/2 term and 1/2 term in Oct

for us, we do a water park till about 2 - 3 on a Sat or Sunday, then hit the outlets / mall

the parks are rammed at the weekends, i would prefer to go to a WP and maybe stand in a line for the off water ride rather that do it in the parks

normally before lunch on the weekends its not too bad

Yeh, thinking that. If we went sat or sun we'd plan on hitting them early, around 9 then shop late afternoon /early evening.

Any rides we want to do can be done first, then just relax as crowds build up. -

Yes, I suspect that could be the case and if any parks are busy, it would be the main Disney and Universal ride parks.
