Buying a laptop

I tend to have a very inexpensive laptop at home and better products at the office. My warning is to be careful-cheap laptops are cheap and not only don't have bells and whistles, they don't have particularly good hardware. I go through 2 or 3 home laptops to every work one (which is used much more often).

With the recent takeover of Asda by Sainsbury's ( although not a complete takeover) I would definately check that they still honour Walmart bought items.

If you change the settings, you should be able to use it as a UK keyboard ( thus the above will be right )

I picked up a MacBook Pro in Bestbuy a couple of weeks ago when I was in Miami, saved over £500 against UK prices. Bit nervy walking through the nothing to declare lane at Gatwick though.

Because you chose to ignore the law you mean?

People buying high value items in the US should always add in the cost of duty and potentially VAT and go through the red channel.
