Have a magical day... rude meaning
I once read on one of those "secrets from an ex cast member" things that go viral that when a cast member says "have a magical day" they are secretly saying "go yourself" and I have had a few conversations with CMs lately and the ones I have had a laugh with don't say it and the ones that have been matter of fact have so it got me thinking, is it true. What do you think

You could always reply "Have a magical day yourself!"

I have read about this but have never had it said to me in a situation where a rude reply would have been forthcoming if they were allowed to. Probably an urban myth.

LOL Well we had a lovely(not) CM serve us last week just after Wishes in one of the Main Street shops, she obviously couldn't be bothered and was half leaning on her counter like Waynetta Slob..she gave me my change and muttered "have a magical evening" I did say to my Hubby that she so didn't mean that. I wish now I'd told her to have one too!

No way! That's not true, no way, you could tell, I get goosebumps just thinking bout, if you worked there would you think that? No, what reasonable person would mean that when talking to a family entering DW, ridiculous
IMHO

I'm sure, and I'm sure some guests deserved it being said, but in general, most guests and most CMs and just people like you and me, I couldn't see either of us saying (or meaning) that to guests, at worst I'd say they may say it robotically but not with malicious hidden meanings
