Lamb Stew with Dumplings. It’s a bit nippy in the Welsh Hills tonight.

They were really good, thanks for asking . Very tasty and was able to get some burnt bits on them which is my favourite part.
He tried again tonight but we put in the wrong yeast without realising so the dough went in the bin

It was pretty easy technically, but I think it needed a bit more flavour in the sauce. I used Pinch of Nom recipe and it was a bit bland, I have noticed that with another of their recipes. I think they make them a bit too simple, I would have been better off making up my own I think. I will do again and I might do an aubergine version too.

I’m not sure if we did the same thing. We did bashed out chicken breasts coated in breads crumbs. I think the first time we used home made breadcrumbs , but we use panko now. But we felt it lacked seasoning so I crumble a chicken stock cube into them. Then just fry off and finish in the oven with some passatta and mozzarella.
We have also done it with pork and added garlic to the oil when frying.
I think we think we are adding plenty of seasoning but seem to need more.

Sounds like the same thing, I need to get a bit more flavour in my sauce next time though.
