I live in East Yorkshire with Hull being the nearest recognisable accent. I don’t especially have a hull accent though- patients often ask where I am from as I don’t sound like a local lass. Although I’ve not done it deliberately I think I have probably toned my accent down to help patients understand me. My Dh is from Kent originally and came to Hull for uni via Lincolnshire so he has a really mixed accent, mostly southern with odd bit of Hull thrown in!

I have a very strong west of Scotland accent. But I try to not to use too much slang.

A fairly neutral southern accent, with some West Country tinges. I listened to a tape my father had made of me at age 4 opening Christmas presents and I was broad Aberdonian!

People were just looking at us. One family walked by and the dad said I think they may be Russian. We all fell about laughing and got even more Geordiefied. Edit: I miss Perkins ☹️
