Changing offers?

So I'm trying to arrange a surprise trip to DLP for next year. Wool be a first visit, although done Florida a few times, completely different I know. The question is I've seen on here a few times you can book your trip to secure your room, but change the offer of when a different promotion comes along is more preferable. I'm looking at 4 nights, booking with the current 2+2 free offer, but not sure if the % off with dining plan might be more beneficial. If you can change, is this only through DLP direct, or can you change through Walt Disney Travel Company as well? Sorry for the long winded question.

You certainly can with DLP. And you can pay a deposit with them if you phone.
