Macy’s Thanksgiving parade

Evening all, we are visiting New York in November and our last day the parade will be on, we have visited the city a few times but have never been to the parade, has anyone been?, any tips?

Yes we were there last Thanksgiving, it has always been my dream to see it.
We got to Columbus Circle just before 9am it was busy but got a lot busier shortly after, after a few floats we decided to walk towards national history museum,we walked up and down side streets and had some great views.
We got to West 81st street just as Santas float was about to leave,was amazing to see it so close. After parade we crossed road and spent few hours in Central park before heading to Hard Rock cafe for dinner. Was a fab day

I went with a friend to watch it last year. We staked a spot about 7am and had a great view when the parade started. We both really enjoyed it. I’m glad I’ve done it, but wouldn’t rush to do it again. I think I’ve been spoilt by the Disney parades
