Mobile Kings cross to Heathrow airport

Could anyone please advise me cheapest way by rail to get from kings cross to terminal 3 at Heathrow. Train line are coming up with the return journey costing £86 each person.
Could you travel by the underground on an Oyster card?

Thank you.

The undergraound goes straight there. Piccadilly line. Use contactless card or Oyster. It's a bit far so allow at least an hour for the journey.

Sorry, you asked about price. It's £5.10 peak times and £3.10 off peak (for adults).

Thank you very much for your answer. It’s just saved me about £80!

Have a good day. 😊

Euston to lhr with blackberry cars costs £30, so kings king's cross should be similar. A little more expensive if you need a larger car. Have always had good service from them

+1 for the Piccadilly line. Provided you’re all mobile, it’s super easy and super cheap.

What time of day will you be travelling? Aim to miss the rush hours if at all possible (7:30am > 9:30am, 5pm > 7pm)

Yes indeed and there are lifts all the way. So easy even with luggage.

Another vote for the Piccadilly line.

One thing to note with trying to take a train is that the routes shown tend to put you on the Heathrow Express (or sometimes the Heathrow Connect), which departs from Paddington. This is a fast route if you happen to be near Paddington, since the Heathrow Express takes only 15 minutes to get from Paddington to Heathrow Terminals 1/2/3 (a bit longer for 4/5). However if you are trying to get from King's Cross to Heathrow, taking the Heathrow Express involves getting from King's Cross to Paddington first, which will take an additional journey on the Tube and additional time.

In the end, it might work out to take approximately the same time to travel King's Cross -(tube)-> Paddington -(Heathrow Express)-> Heathrow as to travel King's Cross -(tube with Piccadilly line)-> Heathrow... So in my opinion the Piccadilly line is definitely the better option for getting between King's Cross and Heathrow!
