Can I change from a studio to a 1 bed at last minute.

I have booked a studio for 5 Aug at SSR but I might change to a 1 Bed at last minute.
Is this allowed so close stay date?

Yes. You can simply cancel your studio reservation and book the 1 bedroom assuming it is still available. As long as you have the points for the 1 bedroom you shouldn't have any issues.

Yes, go online and modify the reservation. Do not cancel the studio and the rebook, you risk remaining without a room.
The opposite would be problematic because the difference in points would go on holding, if cancelled within 30 days.
For example, if the studios costs 10 points and the 1BR 20 points, going from the studio to the 1BR you would use more points. But going 1BR to Studio would free 10 points, but those would go into holding.
