That was what I was wondering. But I guess from the answers it means having bits and pieces rather than a whole meal, we call it an indoor picnic. We like crusty bread, pate, cheese, maybe a baked camembert. DH also make lovely scotch eggs with a touch of black pudding in the sausage meat.

Because I live in Greece so we dont have all the ready made things here like you do in the uk, and a picky tea? I suppose like a kids birthday party-just bits and Bob's instead of a meal

Grill the sausages or sausage meat, season serve on top of salad with some potatoes, my preference is yesterday's roast tatties. Use the pastry to make fruit parcels or nutella twists for dessert and put your feet up for a wee rest.
