I am doing it December- but I will be going for the Platinum- as I have to go back summer 2020 and next Xmas 2020 is also booked. If anyone has any receipts for a recent plat upgrade, please post them up.

We went to the new ticket centre in Disney Springs, we always seem to get the right price at Disney Springs.

The upgrade depends on which UK person you brought the UK tickets off

They give you the cost of the ticket against a Gold Pass

SOme of the Big Ticket companies get the tickets at a Discount from disney so hence it more of an Upgrade

We paid 600 as a family of 4 last year with some people paying $82 others 170

WHat i learnt from Facebook forums is buy your tickets from Disney UK as then you get the full face value in an upgrade -- where as if you pay 10-20 less -- The 3rd party vendor may have paid disney 50-75% to buy in bulk and hence you get that as a credit

.
This implies they are still using bridging to bridge the ticket to a USA 10 day hopper with waterpark and more.

I thought they had discontinued this... will be interesting to see what happens early December for me. Am unsure how to approach it. Show them the photos here? demand a manager or they speak to Ticketing?

Make the most of that Gold Pass, apparently according to an unsubstantiated piece of intel from an ‘insider’ the long term strategy is to scrap the cheaper passes and replace with a new pass where you can book to attend the park based on availability, being able to use the park for x number of days per annum. Doesn’t sound as though it will be much good for us Brits, if this comes in.
As they say, never buy direct for perks...

Thanks so much for the advice and receipts.

Just tried to do the upgrade at Magic Kingdom and they would only do it at $275 each. I showed the receipts and they said that because there is no info on how they got to that price, and no proof we had the same tickets there was nothing they could do.

Not very happy as we just wasted an hour trying to get it sorted and came away without the AP’s.

Thanks again everyone.
