Looking at dead people and buildings looked good fun today! The museum obviously was a nice change
I’m pleased the Metro wasn’t a trauma like NYC although we actually encountered a friendly helpful lady who came out to help us in New York-I bet your so pleased you hadn’t made a comment to Dave when she appeared next to you
Your food looked fab again I could just eat it now with a nice margarita!

It's a great description dead people and buildings does rather sum it up

Goodness yes I haven't thought of that NYC metro ride in a long time. Near amputation of Max's foot was avoided this trip. Ok I exaggerated slightly, he nearly lost his shoe though

I'm so glad I didn't put my foot in my mouth, I really don't know what stopped me from saying out loud "she was really helpful" in a sarcastic tone but thankfully I didn't.

Again mine was the best meal. I really fancy it tonight. Ooh it was yummy. Think this might be the last of mine being best the dinner though, I have a horrid habit of picking poorly from a menu and I end up with serious envy of the the others.

A holiday of looking at dead people and buildings they should put that on their tourist material!

Your chicken totchos look heavenly, I’m really hungry at the moment and stared at them for quite awhile

Sounds like a moving, interesting day. The changing of the guard sounds very impressive.

I know what a selling point I think it's a brilliant tagline for DC i expect to earn some sort of commission for that.

The totchos were yummy!

What a feast to start your day at the hotel - even better that it was included!

Another very interesting day, the Smithsonian looks good with lots to see. It's a shame you felt a bit rushed because of the tour groups.

I'm so glad you managed to catch the changing of the guard at Arlington - it's one of my "must do's" for when I finally get to DC. It sounds like a very moving place.

Haha, I definitely would have been caught making a sarcastic comment about the unhelpful subway woman. I absolutely would have said something as we turned away - I just can't help myself I'm glad she turned out to be helpful in the end, and its good to know that the subway is easy to use.

Another good choice for dinner tonight, everyone's meals look very nice.

Yes, the hotel breakfast buffet was a treat. Lots of variety and we all enjoyed the hot selection. Kept us going most of the day.

The cemetery was high on my list as well and I'm glad we made the effort to go. You could have heard a pin drop during the changing of the guard and i just didn't want to take photos of it as I just wanted to absorb it all. Defitnely a must a do!

Haha I'm so lucky I didn't make a nasty comment about the attendant lady at the metro. We got back safely in the end though! And another tasty dinner. This was my favourite meal of the trip.

What a fantastic day. I’m definitely adding Washington to my list of places I’d like to go.
How nice of the lady at the subway to be so helpful, I’d have been the same as you and assumed that I was just being pointed to the machines.

It was a great day, we enjoyed walking over to Arlington.

I'm so glad I didn't make a snide comment to DH about the subway lady, she was really helpful in the end.
