Mobile Meal/recipe boxes again

Hi all,

I started SimplyCook as another dinner recommended it to me, and I have absolutely loved it, I have tried all the recipes I fancy and find I’m gravitating to the same 10 or so now.
I liked it because it goes through the letter box, and there are no perishables to be committed to. I also liked that it is most cost effective.
I think I might be ready for a change though. Can anyone rate a competitor? How much is it?

Also do you have discount codes on the one you are recommending?

I can swap for a SimplyCook one if anyone is interested, first box £1 for 4 meals

It's not the same but I'm loving Gousto. Its making me really enjoy cooking again. There's no waste at all and all the ingredients are super fresh. You don't have to commit to anything (you kind of do at first but you can easily stop your "subscription" straight away and then just order one off deliveries.) I have a code for 40% off your first order and 30% off for another month if you fancy giving it a try.

Just having a look now and the recipes do look fab, plenty different to SimplyCook.
I would like to give it a shot I think thanks. The price after does put me off, as my whole food shop for the week from Lidl is only £30, but will be nice to do something new over Christmas x

I did think the same but now I only do Aldi every 2 weeks to get cupboard stuff for snacks etc and I have factored in the enjoyment factor and no waste and decided it is worth it (I was always throwing food away before)

I'll PM you the code now.

We've honestly not had a bad meal yet.

I would’t recommend HelloFresh, it was very expensive (the contents could be bought from Lidl or tech for half the price!)
But worst of all in both the boxes I recieved gone bad chicken, it was all cold when recieved (and put straight in the fridge), both times I had to go to the supermarket for chicken to have the meal, first time, they gave money back, second time they didn’t want to know - I was only asking for the £2.50 I spent on new chicken. Felt wasteful and was disappointing customer service, we also didn’t really enjoy a couple of the meals. Just didn’t work for us.

That Is my genuine concern to be honest, especially as we have a large Lidl on our doorstep and our shopping is so cheap.
That’s why I like SimplyCook, as I’m not been overcharged for say an onion.
Will give that one a miss then for sure x

Oh that’s a shame , the worst we had from them was a missing item (usually an onion) everything else was ok .
Found I was taking longer to do dinner though as I had to keep referring back to the sheet rather than from memory which seems silly to gripe about but it just seemed a faff .
Had some lovely meals though
