I have a Kipling cross body bag aswell. Didn’t you know it’s one of the requirements of being a member of the dibb? 😂 I also have a lightweight rucksack which is a Disney one from Cath Kidston. I flit between them.

We usually just fill the OH cargo short pockets with the essentials and I sometimes wear a small running belt which just fits my phone, some plasters and some money in. If we're going to be doing a full park day then I take one of the mickey head backpacks from Primark to put extras in like suncream and a phone charger.

I tried a Kipling cross body bag and I didn't really like it. I find them quite heavy and mine wasn't big enough to fit suncream in so only ever had my phone and purse in it!

So I think it depends on who is going. Me and my partner only usually take one rucksack between us for the parks and then if we go to disney springs then I'll take a cross body bag etc. Tried a bum bag but it got too sweaty

With the rucksack it is a Cath Kidston Disney one or a primark disney one. I usually take a couple out with me just in case one brakes. We usually swap around during the day who carries it.

With children etc then maybe more bags might be required.

I use a Kipling Multiple - I love being able to wear it round my waist if my shoulder gets sore.

It probably depends on whether you’re staying on site or not. I normally take a bum bag and hubby takes a small rucksack but it’s easy enough to get back to our hotel if we need anything.

Also, feel free to come and join our May chat https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1129977 😊

Wow thank you for all the useful replies.

We are staying off site and child is 13 so not a baby. I quite like the idea of one backpack on hubby and me and daughter bag free

I may pack a lightweight backpack for me when we go to waterparks etc

What do you all do in airport? we have 3 suitcases to check then daughter is having a backpack for her bits, hubby a backpack for his bits. But I'm usually in charge of ticket money etc so thinking of a shoulder back that is large enough for everything.

We can take another 3 hand luggage suitcases as well, I don't fancy a bag each plus a small suitcase each, or maybe take one wheeled cabin suitcase even if its empty for way back?

Would something like this be okay?

but this wouldn't be big enough for my flight/cabin bag I would need this plus something else.

We have 3 phases of park bags!

Backpack only: when we need spare shoes, our own water bottles or jackets, plus the usual stuff. Typically for awful weather reports or long days.
Cross body: when we just need camera, portable charger, a couple of ponchos, a mini sun cream and hand sanitiser.
No bag!: when we’re popping in for a couple of hours, not eating etc. My phone goes in DHs pocket.

In terms of plane luggage, DH will use the park backpack as his hang luggage. I’ll use a tote bag (just to hold an iPad, kindle, tickets and a liquids bag). We take 2 suitcases as hold luggage, and then pack a packable soft hold-all in one of them for the way back (also in the hold) which you can buy on amazon.

We always took a change of clothes, swimmers and essential toiletries in hand luggage, that way if your luggage travels an alternative route to your own, you have the basics with you. I took flip flops too.

To be honest we travel hand luggage only now anyway, even though our flights at Easter include checked bags, we'll only use that allowance on the way home!
