Contemporary or Yacht Club?

Just that really.

Just looking at booking our accommodation for Disney and wonder which people would recommend.

I have stayed at both, but was a few years ago now.

For info we are 4 adults, so the children's pool at Stormalong Bay isn't a massive factor. I like the position of both and the monorail at the Contemporary, however I like the boats at Epcot.

What do you recommend?

We usually split the stay between the two to get the best of both locations.

The Contemporary has some sort of magic, not the best hotel but we love it. x

I prefer Bay Lake Tower to staying in the actual Contemporary (nicer rooms, less noise) but you can’t go wrong with either- they are very different. Last year like Dr we did a split stay BLT and Beach Club and it was perfect.

I would consider where I might eat most evenings and stay close by.

Only if you’re going to MK a lot - in which case I completely agree! And I guess it’s as Walt intended. We own at BLT (and love it) but it’s kind of a pain going offsite. The Epcot resorts are central to all the Disney stuff as well as closer to outside stuff.

I would do a split stay, but if that isn’t an option I would always go with Beach Club. I love the mini lazy river, I could float around there all day. We enjoy walking to Epcot, HS and Boardwalk. Lots more food options for us. We found that it took a long time get anywhere from MK resorts but from BC nothing was too far at all.

If it's "location, location, location" surely the Epcot resort area wins every time.

1. You can walk to two parks in minutes.
2. ...which, if you are four adults, means Epcot and the Studios are probably more attractive destinations.
3. And Jelly Rolls. Seriously, Jelly Rolls.
4. Skyliner to hop over to a few other resorts in minutes, should you wish.
5. The Boardwalk area is great fun.
6. Jelly Rolls.
