Any recommendation?
Just hope we get there!
I found the Casitas area really big. I prefer the look of Cabanas although we never got round to going over to have a look. It being the last bus stop would put me off a bit though.

We’ve booked preferred rooms as I like the thought of the covered walkways getting from the main area to the rooms. I think this will be helpful to us in the August sun/rain and heat.
I also like the look of the casitas buildings.

Has anyone stayed in the tower rooms? I believe that they are a bit bigger than the usual rooms but are they worth the extra money?

We went in September 2019 and I absolutely love the place.

We were in Casitas 4, top floor. It's non preferred but next door to Casitas 3 which is a preferred section. Not worth the extra few hundred £ it was for us to upgrade. We were by the first bus stop which was really good, as you tended to always get a seat. Although a couple of days the bus stop was swarmed with love bugs and so you had to stand in the sun

There's a refill station at the main Dig Site pool in the bar there. Although with Covid that may not be open (the bar)?

I'll never forget us getting back to the hotel room one evening and watching all 3 sets of fireworks from the balcony outside our door. Next time we'll do the same but from the bar at the top of the tower

I really like the look of the resort, especially now the tower is there. We aren’t going until 2023 but are considering the tower over a deluxe resort.

I’m debating about whether to swop our preferred rooms to tower rooms. The standard tower rooms would be £220 cheaper overall than what we have booked (2 rooms) and the water view would be £100 more. What would you do?

The main reason to stay where we are is to be near the first bus stop rather than the last bus stop. Plus we have a king and a twin and the tower would be two twins.

Basically what I’m asking is would you swop a preferred for a tower room? And why?

I would but then we tend to hire a car so the bus stop is less of an issue. We had a preferred room last year and I didn’t find it particularly close. The downside of the tower is you’re not that close to a pool.

I think you need to weigh up what’s important and take it from there.

I believe that the tower rooms are larger - 375 sq ft compared to 314 sq ft. That extra space, plus potentially better views may help that decision.

We have a tower water view booked for next November. Plan to upgrade to concierge when It reopens. This is the only moderate with concierge. And have seen good reports about it.

What does upgrading to concierge offer you? Is it expensive?
