Virgin operated by Air France, what are the differences

If a Virgin booking is operated by Air France what are the main differences, like meals, IFE?

You may have to look on the Air France website as I doubt there are many Dibbers who have done it this way around. More common is for members on here to book with AF but fly with VS.

It will be an Air France flight. We’ve flown with them and they are fine. IFE will be different to virgin but similiar. Free drinks. Food etc.

The food on the Air France flight was the best I have ever had, on a flight.
Really good wine too, I wouldn’t hesitate to fly with them again

Air France don't smoothly land you on the runway, they drop you... My sister can attest to this after landing in Paris where her leftover coffee bounced out of the cup! Was exactly the same when we returned to London 😄

Never liked Air France when I had to fly with them a lot for work. I found the planes generally uncomfortable with rubbish food. Wine was ok though.

Flew with them to MCO in 2012 via CDG as we got a really great price and it was fine. Changing in CDG was a doddle as well, I'd heard so many negative comments about how big it was but it was clearly signposted and easy to navigate. The food was okay, some bits really nice and others a bit strange but, overall, edible. I was worried about the IFE in case it was all in French and would have to read the subtitles but lots were in English so no issue there. The journey back with having to change in Paris was a bind, as you just want to get home, but I would use them again if the price was right.

I'm still in two minds, either Air France on the way home indirect via Paris, or Delta indirect via Atlanta. As they are overnight flights we will just go with either if I get a good deal. First time flying indirect apart from having to change at Heathrow from the West Coast, but I promised myself this is a budget trip.

If I had the choice, I would opt for the change in the USA so there's no hanging about once you land after the transatlantic flight.
