We enjoyed the flying fish, the only thing we didn’t like was our seat, by the door. I got the impression kids were kept on the outskirts of the place.
We were two adults and got the seat by the door. It must be something else.

Not good about the service at FF - why would they think to do that with your wine?! Food looks good though. We changed Tiffins to Flying Fish in our plans this year as my other half really wants to try it and I think it looks beautiful inside. We are going on the night of our first full day so I’ll report back

After a few bad tables at various signatures (including FF) a few years ago we used to say that. I now make a request at the podium when we check in and have no hesitation in turning a table down if that doesn't work and I think it's bad one for any reason.

Absolutely no excuse for the bizarre and rude way the server put the wine in a to go cup. I would have asked for a fresh glass and the manager.

It's quickly becoming apparent from reading other people's reports and my own experiences that consistency in food, service and general experience in WDW restaurants is still sadly lacking. Not sure how we're going to get the message across but they need to do better at the prices they charge.

I’d already left my tip before he messed with my drink - he brought the check when we were finishing dessert so I put the cash in the black wallet, finished pudding and went to the bathroom intending to sit and enjoy my drink before heading off ... it was when I got back he had tipped it into a plastic glass 😡 I should have made a point with the manager really.

I’ve been saving catching up for when I had the time to properly enjoy it. I didn't realise you were so close to home time, that's very sad, can't you please just move to Disney and review your meals every day for us?!

The Akershus buffet selections seem to be shrinking, breakfast has always had less variety than lunch and dinner but I am sure there was a better variety of fish and cold cuts in the past.

Your starter at HBD sounds lovely, your duck looks nice but sounds a bit sweet for my tastes. Very impressive service, we had bad luck there last year. It’s fantastic news that they have moved away from the dessert trio too, that always felt a bit cheap to me.

Appreciated your shopping pictures, I think those cat PJ bottoms will be in my future, I already have the t-shirt. Eva really suits her tie-dye spirit jersey, what size did she get?

Loved reading about your Food & Wine exploits, the ears are great and we love Hide & Squeak, quite possibly more than the food. You’ve given me a few ideas.

After all your bribery it is just sod’s law that something about Flying Fish disappointed isn’t it?! I am glad you enjoyed the food though. An hour for three courses in a non-park Signature is not what you would expect. Your server definitely needs to get better at taking cues from the guests.

Glad to hear you got into Galaxy’s Edge, an unexpected bonus.

Your MNSSHP costumes are fab, glad Eva is being a good sport, I was concerned she might be too cool.

Finally I’ve got to read and get to here. Some great choices so far and lovely food . Did you go over your $50 at food and wine and did you buy drinks separately ? I’m Just trying to budget lol

I would have gone ape at flying fish tbh. Just plain rude doing that . The manager would have had me at his side for that one and I’m not one for complaining at all .

Glad you’ve done a few meals I’ve picked and not found dxddp overpowering either . How many credits do you have left out of interest ?

I think I may have gone over by a couple of dollars on my booze budget - 50 gets you around 4 drinks as a guide...

I had one credit left and 5 snacks left which I converted to chocolate bars at the hotel before coming home ... back home this morning I wish I was still in Florida although pleased to have avoided the hurricane
