Spectrolee - Day 6 - The Fingers Crossed Trip Epcot And Moonlight Magic
We're having an easy morning today as we're going to Moonlight Magic at Epcot tonight. (Moonlight Magic is a free evening in the parks that is offered a few times throughout the year for DVC members. We were lucky that one coincided with this trip) Isabel and Davie took the kids round the monorail resorts for lunch (and toys!) Gary drove me Eva and Matt over to ESPN Wide World of Sports to register for our runDisney events Eva and I are doing the 10k Matt is doing the 5k, 10k and 10miler Our 10k route round Epcot We went offsite for lunch to Rock and Brews at Rolling Oaks I ordered 3 appetisers (I shared some - promise) Pretzel bread with mustard and additional cheese dip (not the best cheese dip ever - was a bit curdled) There were more jalapeno popper than this, but we ate some before they even hit the table haha Calamari Eva and Gary had steak sandwiches Matt had the chicken pasta Weird name for water! The food and drinks were fantastic here, and the staff were brilliant- we'll be back here again definitely. And as the name suggests the rock music was plentiful. We all met back up again at around 3pm and headed over to Epcot. We had brought a buggy over with us, and we bought another one tonight. We have managed without one for the first few days, but Moonlight Magic is on late and the kids have done a lot this week. Finding more Spike the bees Journey into Imagination We have been coming to Disney since 1991 and have never been on this. We don't have the nostalgia that must be required to enjoy this one. Eric Idles moon face at the end was bizarre. We took a time out in the DVC lounge in the imagination pavilion Jeezo they had the air con on full blast here brrrr First ride on Test Track for Joni and Ed - was a hit (and for some unknown reason the car they designed won!) Sherbet buddies We collected our Moonlight Magic wristbands and vouchers. We had read a lot of negatives about the previous night, so went in with low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised. We got to use our snack vouchers at loads of food booths, and Gary got our popcorn buckets right away. We used a few of the vouchers for some scallops at the food booth next to Canada Seafood boil at America - this was not very good unfortunately We watched the fireworks from the side of the America Gardens Theater While waiting in the queue at Kringla bakery (to spend the rest of the vouchers on school bread and cinnamon rolls) we spotted Ryno from the DIS in front of us. Eva and Gary met him outside and got a quick selfie. They said her was absolutely lovely On our last trip we met Pete Werner at Copper Creek and he was extremely nice to chat to also. Test track was now a walk on so we headed back there, and another winning car designed by these two! We finished the evening with another of the kids favourites this trip - Soarin |
