Recent Trip Experiences
Hi All,
Just back a couple of days from a 17 day trip. It was our first visit for 4 years, so thought I would share the good and bad.. Flights: We flew Dub-BOS with Aer Lingus, and BOS-MCO with jetBlue, we flew direct from MCO-DUB on the way back. No issues with flights, all on-time, no issue with service, impressed particularly with the jetblue flight, really good service and amenities, free wi-fi and live tv. Car Hire: We booked Car Hire via ANdy with Alamo. Going via Andy was great, very helpful with any questions i had, and i had many. However, Alamo were shocking, choice of cars was ver y low, only 3 left in the lot when we arrived, i mentioned this to them and they were not interested car I for was functional, a Nissan Kicks, but not really what i wanted. Villa: We rented a villa in emerald Island, we always try pick this resort as we love lcation and the resort itself, Villa was perfect Weather.. Hot hot and too hot, unbearable at times ! Theme Parks : Rammed, never seen so busy, luckily 2 Daughters had Genie Plus well sorted, so we got everythign doen in Disney, but Universal there was plenty of queing. FYI Hagrids, and guardians of Glasy both must dos, brilliant both of them. general : has gone very expensive for everything, groceries, restaurnats, we under budgeted evergthing, and we are not novices. But with all that was a great trip ! |

Glad you had a good time. I’ve just got back from 2 weeks there and totally agree with your last 3 points. Hideously hot, theme parks are extremely busy and the cost of everything seems to have shot through the roof. Lovely to have visited though.

I'm glad you had a good time. I'm really trying to manage my expectations re the prices sky rocketing in the hopes I won't be too shocked, but I daresay I'll be all "How much?"
Thanks for sharing your round up
