Rather than walking I would just get an Uber/Lyft from your resort.

Disney Springs is accessible by a pedestrian skybridge according to the hotel website. Hopefully the walk isn’t too far as I am planning to do it myself!

The bridge is at the north end near earl of sandwich and takes you directly into the grounds of the hotel.

Stayed at the Hilton LBV a few times. It's a quick walk from Disney Springs over the bridge (definitely use the one by Earl of Sandwich as mentioned above). Make sure you go to the one on Hotel Plaza Bld and NOT the Hilton LBV Palace which is also close by.

You can access the hotel and Avis really easily - the only part locked off is the pool. 5 to 10 minute easy walk in total.

Yes it’s walkable from the main bus stop area, u need to walk thru Disney springs to the Xmas shop end cross the bridge over the road follow the path thru the hotel grounds and thr desk I presume is close to the checkin desk

I have collected from Avis on several occasions when staying at SSR. An easy walk over the bridge and across Hotel Plaza Boulevard to the hotel. Car was pre-allocated (no choice) and no hard sell. In and out in ten minutes.

Oh no I hope they don't try to downgrade us! We've purposely got the largest type as it's the only way the whole family will fit in, anything smaller won't have the 7 seats we need!

We had a bit of a wait last time but the lady at the desk was on her own so multi-tasking. She did talk us into an upgrade & in hindsight I just think they didn't have our car & maybe should have waited to see if I got upgraded for free! One thing, don't let them talk you into the "full tank of fuel" unless you want it, she did tell us that it was a pain to fill up at the nearest Station, when actually it's just around the corner & not "painful" in the slightest!
We generally book this one but have used Andy DFCH & Budget were a £100-£150 cheaper a week

Picked up from Avis Disney Springs/Hilton Lake Buena Vista a week ago.
The walk from Earl of Sandwich-8mins
The Avis desk is at the side of reception near the coffee/food market.
At around 1030 there was one lady on the desk dealing with the bookings and another bringing the cars out/prepping them.
We had another customer in front of us but were dealt with quickly. We’d booked an intermediate suv and were offered a Nissan Rouge or an upgrade to a Nissan Pathfinder or GMC Acadia for an extra $100 for the week. We stuck with the Rouge. Which was fine for 3 adults and 2 medium cases and 3 trolley bags just fitted in the boot.
We then had to wait about 10 mins while the car was prepared.
While waiting I had a look about the Avis area and they had more cars than I expected and in all categories, a lot of double parking. Nothing looked very new.
It took about 30mins from arriving at the Avis queue to driving out.
