An now onto Hogwarts. Although I have the Burrow, which was a Christmas present from Mr W to do
I was disappointed with diagon alley in the end. Too many sides done by just one big piece of Lego, and in places it looked a bit incomplete (e.g. on the final set, why did two of the floors have bannisters to the staircase and the top floor didn’t? And why on one set is there a staircase coming out the back that doesn’t rotate in?). Having said that, I found hogwarts a fantastic build, enjoy!

We started the Disney castle in February half term, but with working and part-home-learning, we’ve only got as far as bag 10. I’m pretty sure we’ll finish it over Easter though (joint project for DD9 and myself - I get to find the pieces and she does all the building, but she did let me make one of two identical parts once!)

Once that’s done, DD13 gets the table for the Hogwarts Castle she got for Christmas. She’s decided she’s going to do it alone, but I’ll keep asking her to let me help until she gives in... hopefully!

Well this is a longer than lockdown project!

I wanted to bud this retired set so started buying all 3449 pieces back in 2012! However this last year I've got back into it after a 5 year break.
Last prices turned up Monday & now after 3 evenings it's finished!
Don't know what it's cost in total but no where near the £4000on amazon!

Just built Space Shuttle Discovery. One of my favourite Lego sets. It's a fantastic fun build with some lovely details.

I fancied that but would've preferred it to be changeable to other shuttles (or specifically atlantis). Also would've like to have the launch boosters but that'd be a huge set!

There's people on rebrickable creating sets to accompany them so possibility for it there.

I'm thinking for my next "buy bits to build" set I'll go for the lau lnch tower for the saturn v rocket!
Someone's created the instructions on rebrickable (can't link as website down) for not only the tower but the crawler as well which is powered!

Rebrickable is a great site! You can search for things to build & even add in the peices you have & see what you can make.

Just finished my mini 50th castle and the haunted house, I have definitely learnt that don’t have the patience for the large sets as the haunted house just about finished me off (had to get dh to help as I was getting bored).
