Sense of smell/taste

Hey just wondering if anyone has had covid and lost their taste and smell? And if so when did it come back? I'm flying to Disney in 2 and a half weeks and I'm spiralling and worried I'll not be able to taste or smell my favourite Disney things!

Almost 2 years on I’ve absolutely no sence of smell and my taste is all over the place
Something can taste great one day next time no taste at all and the worst it tastes absolutely awful sometimes
Fish/ seafood is the only thing that consistently tastes ok

Sadly no taste or smell since late july last year,think thats fairly unusual though,most people do get some or all of it back

Got mine back after a week or so. Seems a bit of a lottery though. Good luck, hope everything gets back to normal in time for your trip!

Mine came back around two weeks later,it was awful and so glad it came back,my daughter in law still can't smell anything about a month later and like Gryff her taste is off,sometimes she gets a slight taste then it quickly goes.Hope yours returns soon.

i had it recently and lost my taste and smell for 2-3 weeks. both came back slowly and at the same time. as Wolf1984 has stated, bit of a lottery but i hope yours come back quickly. I wish I had lost my taste for a bit longer as I lost over 1 stone in weight I think the Easter eggs have now put paid to that... good luck.

I had Covid early December, still no taste/smell (apart from randomly smelling smoke).

This is me , infact my consultant has just done an mri on my head to make sure there is nothing else causing it . He asked me if I had a carbon monoxide and smoke alarms fitted ( we have ) as he was concerned how much sense of smell I have lost . The kids burnt toast the other day and apparently the kitchen stunk but I couldn’t smell a thing .
I struggle with savoury things and spices now , just can’t taste them some days 🤷🏼

I a apparently went over the top with the chillies in our Caribbean cod and rice for dinner tonight I only tasted the fish
I can’t smell things but smell stuff that’s not even there randomly
It’s a right pain at times

same for me- i have taste - very little smell. if there is a strong smell, i seem to get the same sense of smell for everything
