You could always go into Staines, the 2 rivers shopping area has a TGI Fridays, Nandos, Pizza Hut, Wagamamas, Harvester, Prezzo, Zizzi, GBK, and opening a Five Guys soon, its not far at all and wouldn't be much in an Uber.

Exactly that, apparently it's been like it for a few years now. Won't be going again, went to the Plough instead, always very welcoming there with a lovely beer garden!

Having looked at the Heathrow website though they’re not listed at all.

I think they may have already closed when we went through at 8:30pm but can’t remember the names to look them up. I wonder if they’d actually shut down.

This was T5 before security, anybody know anything about them?
If you like Indian food, I've just booked a table at Kanishka Kitchen in T5. The menu looks great.

We ate at the hotel restaurant in March (Hilton Garden Inn T2) - it was really nice and not particularly expensive for an airport hotel. We'll eat there again in September.

That is a very long, boring and uncomfortable journey - about 45 minutes each way.

I wouldn’t say uncomfortable, unless it’s rush hour. But long, certainly. Boring if you are a Piccadilly Line regular like me.

If there is somewhere in that area you really want to eat at, fine. But it’s full of overpriced tourist traps.

It’s just by the entrance to the Holiday Inn M4/J4. It’s a small country type looking pub, but has a lovely little garden, standard pub grub but decent prices and good portions for its location so close to the airport.

Agree with this. Hate the Piccadilly line! There are far better value places to eat and drink with bowling, cinemas, shopping etc than going into central London before flying!
