Got the email late last night and now the app is showing T3 too.
The Heathrow website says average journey time is 20 minutes, anybody done it to confirm? Wondering just how much time to allow. We’re staying at Sofitel so will need to get from there to T3 with all our luggage. It’s a shame AA don’t do twilight check in, we’re getting dropped at the airport the night before so could at least have ditched the cases to make the transfer easier the next morning. |

Our return from Miami is now showing T3 on the app this morning. The price for moving parking from T5 has gone up more than £160 since we booked so I guess we’re doing the trek over to T5 with luggage too 😩

The actual journey time on the train / tube is less than 5 mins, the rest of the time allowed for walking between hotel/terminal and platforms at each end, plus any time waiting for the train to depart. So it can take anything from 15-30 mins end to end. I’ve done it in less than 15 mins on a good day, though with only hand luggage.
You can take either the tube or the train (Heathrow Express / Elizabeth Line). Both are free between terminals, use contactless on the tube, you night have to get a free ticket from a machine for the train. At the T3 end, I think the HEX station is a bit nearer to T3 than the tube station, so shorter for walking with luggage, but train timings may or may not make it quicker. If you allow 30 mins it should be plenty, unless there is any service disruption. |

If you are booked into the official T5 long stay, you can avoid going via T5. T5 long stay adjoins the T2/3 business parking car park,
You can just walk across and take the shuttle bus direct to T3 (or vice versa when arriving at T3). I’ve never seen anyone check which car park you are actually parked in. Edited at 09:47 AM. |

I've had an email this morning that return flight on AA is now terminal 3. How easy is it to get back to T5 from here to collect car? Not sure whether to swap it around now
